The IFS or Indian Foreign Service belongs to another challenging central civil service of the government of India. 4. The minimum age limit to sit for the IFS exam is 21 years, while the maximum age limit is 30 years. However, there are some relaxations on the ground of age. For example, the SC or ST candidates can appear till 35 years, while the OBC candidates can apply until 33 years.

5. The maximum number of attempts for the general category and other backward candidates is 7 and 9. In contrast, there are no restrictions for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.
